Remove Apple ID profile picture

Hi,


I was just testing to get a profile picture to my Apple ID instead of my initial (default), but now I want my initial back, but I can’t find how. Do you have ideas how to do that?

Thanks for reaching out via the Apple Support Communities. If I am understanding, you would like to change your iCloud profile picture in Settings > [Your Name] (or Settings > iCloud > [Your Name] in iOS 9,) but you are unable to find out how to do this. I'd be happy to help!

On your iPod touch with iOS 9.3.5:
  1. Go to Settings > iCloud > [Your Name]
  2. Tap Edit in the top right
  3. Tap "edit" again beneath the photo
  4. Tap "Choose Photo"
  5. Select the previous photo, if it's on your iPod touch
If the initial photo was a default macOS user account photo, this support article will provide you with the necessary information on changing your iCloud account information, including the profile image: macOS Sierra: Change iCloud account information .

It may take some time for the change to update across all your iCloud devices.
