How do I get my SD to lightning adapter to work with my iPhone X

Im using a SD to lightning adapter to import Canon t5 photos to my phone. Whenever I plug it into my iPad mini and my old iPhone 6, it is recognized and I am able to import my photos. However, whenever I plug it into my iPhone X, it is not recognized. Can someone help me so it will recognize my iPhone X?

Hi

You may need to buy another adapter it,s pot luck sometimes they work sometimes they don't.

I have one works on iPhone 6s not tried it on my iPhone 8 plus yet.
