iPhone 7plus speaker not working?

Yesterday afternoon i tried to make a phone call and although my call went through i was not able to hear anything. the speaker button was grey and i wasn’t even allowed to switch to speaker mode. I messed with all the volume switches in the settings and although I’m able to hear the ringing i am not able to use the microphone for phone call. I’m thrown off because I’m able to listen to music on Spotify and stream videos on Hulu and hear the videos audio. Has anyone had a similar problem? And is there anyway i can fix it on my own before visiting the apple store?

I think first, you should try it on your own. To do it manually please follow these steps -

Go to Settings on your iPhone > Click sounds & drag the ringer/ alerts slider to turn the volume up. If again you hear sound from the speaker, follow the rest of these steps.

If the same problem persists or If you can't hear sound from the speaker, I think you should contact Apple Support. If your device has a silent mode active, make sure it's set to ring.
