pages app can edit , save , creat , and export files pdf format after convert it’s format!!
But can’t open any pdf file !!!!!!!
plz apple stop showing the pages app as 1st suggestion choice whenever we try to deal with files !! ^~^
Pages can export to PDF, and you can drag/drop single-page PDF back onto a Pages document — as a positional document object. That is all that Pages can do with a PDF.
If you want to read, or annotate a PDF, then use Apple's Preview application, or Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. If you want to edit a PDF (change its original content), then you need to purchase a PDF editor from the Mac App Store, or Adobe. Apple does not include a PDF editor with macOS.
Mac Word processors don't normally open and edit pdf files. For that you need to use Preview, Adobe Reader, PDFPen, etc.
