Why is my phone constantly thinking?
My iPhone 7 plus is constantly thinking. The wheel in the upper left hand corner next to the wifi symbol is always spinning. How do I stop this?

Since the symbol you're noticing will display when there is network activity, have you had a chance to see if apps are being updated automatically when you notice the behavior?
If apps are not updating when you notice the network activity symbol, let's have you restart your iPhone and test the behavior: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
