iMessage is opening messages on its own

My iMessage is opening messages from one specific person without me opening the app. I’ll get about half of the message sound and no notification or anything. Then when I open up the conversation, I see that there’s a new message that says i already read it and sent read receipts

Imessage keeps opening one conversation automatically. My phone is opening and not give me a notification for iMessages for one specific contact. It tends to seem like i’m blowing people off when in reality, something had occurred where my phone opened the message for me and didn’t give me a notification. This just started happening a few days ago. Any fixes?

imessage problem i get notifications whenever people text me on imessage. however , there is one person who i don’t get messages from. i only see the messages whenever i go to the app. and no , the conversation was not put on do not disturb because i already checked. there must be another issue.

Force close the app and then force restart the device.
