Thor Anti Virus

I while ago I downloaded Thor Anti Virus from the App Store ( I forget how much $) but anyway I had been using it for a while and I kept getting the don't forget to rate us so, I went to do that....Much to my surprise I found it was no longer in the App Store. According to the manufacturer Apple removed it for violating their terms of service...I asked Apple If the program was safe, or is my Mac compromised and I got back a cut and paste form letter saying I don't qualify for a refund....that was not my question at all...Does anybody out there have any idea, or have some insight? I only bought it from the App Store because I figured it was vetted by apple and it was a quality product...It was highly rated when I bought it.
