How do I purchase an MP3 version of the song and how can I convert the AAC files I have already purchased

I am running Windows 10. I downloaded iTunes so I could purchase songs and add them to my pc file and then download them to a RCA player. The songs I have purchased are M4p or something or AAC but they need to be MP3 to play on my player. How can I purchase MP3 song files? How can I convert the songs I have purchased to MP3?

Bubba Barber,

If you want MP3 files for your player, you should purchase the tracks from an online retailer that sells songs in MP3 format, such as Amazon Digital Music or Google Play Music.

For the AAC tracks you already bought, you can convert per this document:

By the way, since you mention .m4p, be aware that Apple Music tracks cannot be converted.
