I recently downloaded the IOS upgrade and now my battery drains completely overnight. I've done all of the recommended battery saving tips but for the third day in a row it goes from almost completely charged when I go to bed to single digits when I get up. What is causing this all of the sudden?

Suzunc, having the exact issue with an 6S. After installing/downloading the 11.4 update four days ago my battery drains overnight from a full charge. The battery was performing very well previous to update. I can only conclude it has to do with the update. I have read through basic battery info as I'm a new iphone user, and checked all settings. I have just begun searching for others with same issue hoping for a solution. I just tried powering off the phone, and restarting after a short time to see if it resets the phone in any way to adopt the new update, guess it will take a day to see if that had any affect, meanwhile I'll be searching for an answer and hope someone responds to yours.

If battery is over 2 years old it will need replacing make an appointment at Apple store or authorised apple repairer.
