I have iCloud for Windows installed. I want to be able to see my iCloud photos on my PC, but only download those of interest. How do I set that up without downloading the entire photos library in my iCloud?

tell Apple - Product Feedback - Apple - on a Mac optimized photos is a bit like that, probably on a PC but I do not use a PC so do not know for sure - on a Mac or IOS device with optimized photos the photos are reduces in size to alway have adequate, safe available storage

Thank you for your reply. That works well. However, it would be better if I simply could see thumbnails of the photos on iCloud without it downloading the entire library and absorbing much of the SSD memory on my PC.
do not use iCloud for Windows but us a web browser, log into iCloud.com and download the photos you want on your PC
