Does Minecraft 1.12.2 run better on Mac or Bootcamp Windows

I have a stock 2012 MacBook Pro 13" with 4GB ram and an Intel Core i5. I have both OSX Sierra and Windows 10 Pro installed via Bootcamp and was wondering wether minevraft runs better on OSX or Windows 10. At the moment I have Minecraft installed on the windows partition and it runs well but before I install it on OSX I was wondering if there would be any performance gain. I am looking to run a light shaders mod but so many decrease the performance to around 25fps or lower without substantially turning off settings to make Minecraft just look crap. So with OSX, will that improve performance while running shaders mod?
