How do I undo changes to my mail box.

How do I undo changes to my mail box. I accidentally selected mark all as read and then while trying to undo it flagged all my emails. I can't find a select all button. Is there anyway to fix this that won't take ages?

When I click on any mail subjects a box opens up on the right side of the mail and can’t be deleted. I don’t want t0 get the mail info in that box. How can I get ride of the box that opens up in the mail? It’s open on the right side of the mai with the info in there. I want the info in the mail, not in the separate box. Can’t close it out either.

Mail Window not formatted as it used to be I have just updated to Venture and when I work in Mail the format of the window had changed to one I don't like. Mailboxes in panel on lhs of screen, my messages in date order in the central panel and the body of the email I have selected in the third largest panel. I prefer this top down rather than left to right but can't seem to find a way to reformat the window. Today I seemed to click on something within the mail window accidentally and the panel with the text of my selected email has disappeared and I now just have mail boxes and a list of my incoming mails in date order. I have to click on a message to open a new window in order to read it now and this is not very efficient. I read somewhere of other people having the same issue but not been offered a solution. Would love to go back to left hand side panel with inboxes etc, then a list of my mails at the top of the window in an expandable panel and below that a panel featuring the email I wish to read and respond to. Thank you in anticipation of a simple fix that I am missing. James

Select messages without setting them as being read? Silly but for clarity, I'm using "red" as the past tense of "read" (reed). I wonder if I'm missing a preference. Say you have your email in three columns: Mailboxes on the left, names and subjects in the middle, and a view of the email on the right. If I click an unred email in the middle column, it shows immediately as being red. In most cases that is okay, but if I delete it, Mail selects either the email that was above it or below it, and changes it to red as well. I don't want it so show as red. Some email clients set it to red if you stay on it for, say, 5 seconds, or make you open it. The reason why is because I want to go though that middle column and delete stuff without the next or previous email showing as red. Sure, I can right-click and set it to unred, but I'd rather not have to. Thanks.

Have you tried using the Edit menu Undo option?

Select the first email and then hold down the shift key while selecting the last email. Then control - click on the email and select Mark as unread. Repeat the control click and click the X on Flags.
