Chevrolet MyLink not working with iphone x

I have a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. When I plug my mom's iphone x in to the USB port the MyLink system works. When I plug mine in it doesn't work. They are both running 11.4

iPhone X, iOS 11.4

It's my understanding that your iPhone X will not work with the Chevrolet MyLink. I have an article that may help, check it out: If you can't pair or connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to your car stereo

If you connect using USB

  1. Restart your iOS device and your car.
  2. Make sure that your iPhone is unlocked and on the Home screen.
  3. Connect your iOS device to a different stereo USB port (if you have one).
  4. Check your charging port for any debris or damage. Make sure that your charging cable is inserted fully into the port.
  5. Try a different Lightning to USB cable.
  6. Update your iOS device.
  7. Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.
  8. Try playing audio from a different app. If you can't play audio from a third-party app, contact the app developer for help. If you can't play audio from an Apple app, contact Apple Support.
