My MacBook Pro Retina 2015 is unable to restart.
In order to install the High Sierra 10.13.5 i need to able to restart the machine.
When i restart, the screen turns black and after a few seconds the cursor re-appears in the left corner and the machine is stuck.
Any suggestions to overcome this problem ?

I tried to install the update in safe mode, but it had the same problem when restarting the machine, it froze.
And no, i haven't installed anti-virus scanner...
were you able to get into Safe Mode, or not?
are you running any so-called anti-Virus scanners? You may have to do the update from Safe Mode.
yes, i was but the result was the same...
i'm now in the process of a new clean install and see if that solves the problem...
