HI yc,
There is a keyboard shortcut (command-down arrow) to jump to the last cell in a column, but it does not include selecting the cells in between or performing any action on those cells.
If you use a formula to create the values for the numerical or date series, you can fill the formula (and the calculated series) into the full column using these steps:
In the first non-header cell of the column:
- type = to open the formula editor.
- enter the formula that will calculate the value for the current cell. Such formulas often include ROW() as a means of incrementing the value in each row).
- Click the green checkmark to confirm the formula.
- With the cell still selected, press command-C to Copy the formula.
- Double-click the column reference tab to select all cells in the column except cell in header or footer rows.
- Paste. (command-V)
- (to replace the formulas with the calculated values…)
- With the column still selected, Copy, then
- Go Edit (menu) > Paste Formula Results.
Regards,
Barry
