Headphones / audio issues

When I have headphones on, and receive calls on my iPhone 7+, I'm able to hear the callers just fine, but they can't hear me very well, and sometimes not at all. I've checked the User's Guide, my settings, and looked up comments online to try to get a handle on the problem, but I've come up empty. Has anyone else experienced this, and do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix it?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.4

darylfromflorissant,

Hmm, you might check the charging port for lint or other debris. Also, you might check the microphone area on the headphones for dirt etc.

Then see this:

If your headphones don‘t work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let us know if you get it working.
