Bootcamp Win 10: Disk identifiers duplicate error

Model: Macbook Pro Retina mid 2015

OS: MacOS current plus Bootcamp running Windows 10 Home, latest updates applied

I've noticed a strange error in the Windows event log that seems to appear on boot up whenever I have more than one USB disk plugged in :

"Disk 3 has the same disk identifiers as one or more disks connected to the system. Go to Microsoft's support website (http://support.microsoft.com) and search for KB2983588 to resolve the issue."

That Microsoft knowlegdebase article does not seem to be relevant because:

1) this is not a Windows Server, as the article assumes

2) the disk identifiers are in fact not duplicated when I check

It doesn't _seem_ to have an effect, but I am concerned about loss of data. These are just usb 3.0 SSD data disks, they do not containt any operating system.

What I've tried:

1) Changing the disk enclosures

2) Changing the cables

3) Reformatting

4) Using a USB hub

Any ideas anyone?

I've three disks connected (SSD's) one is formatted using MacOS Extended, and the other two NTFS. The two NTFS are bitlocker encrypted (although only one was yesterday and I still had the same error).

When using DiskUtil info, all I can see have unique UUID's, but the MacOS system cannot access the bitlocker drives.

I tried it form the Windows site using diskpart, which I presume is what Windows takes notice of, and they all have difference unique id's.

Thanks for helping Loner T. I've tried that and as soon as I plug it in (I've connected them to a powered usb hub, but tried without also) the same errors come up:

Disk 3 has the same disk identifiers as one or more disks connected to the system. Go to Microsoft's support website (http://support.microsoft.com) and search for KB2983588 to resolve the issue.

Disk 4 has the same disk identifiers as one or more disks connected to the system. Go to Microsoft's support website (http://support.microsoft.com) and search for KB2983588 to resolve the issue.

So I've tried changing just about everything, enclosures, format, connection (hub/cable). Checked for any updates. Bit stuck.

Initially the disks (both SSD's) were connected directly to the usb port on the macbook. The enclosure was a usb 3.0 enclosure with two disks in it (one for MacOS external storage and one for PC external storage). It is a RAID enclosure with RAID switched off (i.e. JBOD mode). This worked fine. I hadn't noticed the windows event log errors until I looked.

Thinking it was the enclosure I switched to using two separate usb 3.0 enclosures connected directly to the two usb macbook ports. This did not get rid the the error, even when I re-formatted the windows disk.

I then tried a good quality powered hub, which they are still connected to. Still no change with the event log in windows. I also tried changing the cables on both.
