What options do I have to access Mac Mini using MacBook Pro?

Hi all,

I would like know if we can use MacBook Pro to access Mac Mini without any external monitor?

Options I know are:

1. Screen share : Where both MacBook Pro and Mac Mini should be on same network

2. Remote Control software: Something like TeamViewer, where both should be connected to Internet, almost same as option 1

Is there any option, where I can connect some cable (Thunderbolt?) between MacBook Pro and Mac Mini ? and access the Mac Mini by using MacBook Pro screen, it is fine if I can access only one system at time or if there is flexibility to switch between two systems.

Appreciate your feedback!

I think you are a bit confused or just didn't state properly.

All MacMinis starting with the 2010 Mini all have native HDMI

interfaces, i.e. no adapters needed. All 2011s, 2012, and 2014

have HDMI. My 2011 Mini Server is connected to my AV system

using an HDMI cable directly.
