Hi!
Does anyone know if there is any chance a mac pro late 2013 would support the AVX2 instruction set?, it has a 6-Core Intel Xeon E5 3,5 GHz. (avx2 needed for getting the most out of new version of digital paing program corel painter2019)

Thanks a lot! 🙂, also for the useful links. No speedboost then, drained my account and got the machine in early 2014, it's running fine but didn't think I would start feeling it getting old and obsolete so soon though.
Not a requirement, but they make a big thing about it being the fastest version yet, and states this specifically in relation to AVX2-support. The painter2018 works well enough, so I guess the way to check is to upgrade my OS X and as they suggested test the trial version. In comparison I'm thinking about the digital sculpting program zbrush, where the programmers go out of their way to optimize the efficiency of the program giving benefit on any computer. So hope the creators of painter does the same, not just relying on latest hardware ginks in order to step up in feel and functionality.
The software vendor says AVX (any) is NOT a requirement for Mac.
