Music pause when using one AirPod
When listening to music by using one AirPod is it supposed to pause when removing it from my ear or does that apply only when using both AirPods?

Same with one as well. You can see this for other AirPods support questions. AirPods Support - Official Apple Support

I've not experienced that behavior, and I only use one a lot for phone calls, and since I have a hearing aid in the other ear. It may also depend on how long you have the AirPod removed before it disconnects.
When I take the AirPod out of my ear it immediately disconnects and I have to manually press play again to continue listening to music.it didn’t do that until I updated to iOS 11.4.i’ve tried everything I’ve read on apple support unfortunately without a result.
I just tested mine again just to make sure, and as I removed the AirPod, the music paused. I waited a short period and put the AirPod back in and it allowed me to start it right back. It was not disconnected. Hope you get it sorted.
I had to start it back up again. The music was paused, and then once the AirPod was inserted I was able to start it right back. However, the AirPod was never disconnected as you indicated in your initial response to me.
When I use both the music pauses but when I use one instead of pausing it disconn
I'm guessing that "everything" included forgetting the AirPods on the phone and pairing them again? If so, I cannot think of another troubleshooting step. You can contact Apple Support if you wish.
Yes including that.thanks for your help anyway.have a nice day!
You're welcome. And you as well.
Did the music automatically continue to play or did you have to press it?
