My IPAD doesn't "ring" on incoming SKYPE calls. Speakers work, setting and notifications are set ok

Do you have 'do not disturb' set on the iPad?

The "do not disturb" is not on. I went through the older recommendations on the forum for this issue and that did not correct the problem ( removing and installing the app, that the mic and camera are enabled, notifications for Skype allowed, etc.) What is odd, is sometime an incoming Skype call does ring ( maybe 1 of 10).
