I bought an iPhone X one month ago
This is second time when i am having this problem
When i put my iPhone to charge, i have like 85% battery(example), and the percentage is stucked, if i want to see the real percentage after charging i need to restart the phone.
See this support guide, in particular section "If your device stopped charging at 80 percent":
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support
If that's not the case, since your device is still on warranty, have it checked at your most convenient Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider: Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector
