Why is my apple CarPlay in 2016 Ford F-150 always disconnecting?

I have had this truck for exactly a yr now. I have had this truck in the shop over 6 times for this issue of disconnecting from iPhone and also Apple CarPlay . Ford says it’s Apple and Apple says it’s Ford . Also when backing up when the camera kicks on it also stops Apple CarPlay I’m not really worried about who’s at fault just wanting the problem fixed . I can’t even listen to music in my truck so to this issue . Ford has replaced all the components that would possibly make this happen . So this would bring to a wall in the road lol . Can anyone help ?!?!

I’m having the same issue. I’m currently running Sync 3 ver. 3.0 on a 2016 F-150 and my car play keeps disconnecting constantly. When I switch into Sync my car play completely disconnects and I have to unplug/plug in the phone so I can get CarPlay again. Same thing when I change into reverse. What iOS are you running? I recently updated to 12 and I think that might be the issue.

I have also updated sync 3 to 3.0 version. iOS 12 beta .

When I put my truck in reverse , it kicks Apple CarPlay off “ so annoying “ . Also it should have an icon or app to let you switch to and from sync to Apple CarPlay . I’m always having to unplug and reconnect. They should also make pandora a difrent color than a grey background cause at night it is extremely bright .
