Apple iTunes playlists under For You don't open

Hi,

I am unable to open any playlist under Recommendations. Since yesterday I find that clicking on any playlist like Favourites Mix or Chill Mix etc under the For You > Recommendations menu option fails to open the playlist window. Can anyone help, please?

Further info:

- I have done a system repair/verify process just incase there was something related to permissions

- I have signed out and signed back in to iTunes

- I have not added any new application either in the last several months

- iTunes version is 12.7.5.9

- Playlists under other tabs like Browse also do not open

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

On Fridays and Sundays the New Music mix and Chill Mix playlists are refreshed. Fingers crossed that it gets fixed this weekend.

Since I'm in Italy (using an USA iTunes account) I thought that it could be a local DNS issue.

That's good news. I checked here (in India) and the problem still persists on my Mac. I have logged an issue report on the same lines with Apple Support earlier today. Hope it is resolved soon.

Same here. Spent all day updating, signing in and out, turning iCloud on and off - nothing!

same here. It works again 2 days ago. I have spent hours try to figure out but nothing. I believe it was because of Apple Music server issue instead of local Mac...

Looks like there's nothing to do at our end. Users from Mexico and Japan report that the issue resolved on its own. Since it's a paid service I sure hope the problem doesn't persist.

Hi mike-215,

I spent over an hour this morning on the phone with Apple Support. Long story short, the problem remains unresolved despite a re-install of iTunes. We didn't attempt an OS re-install.

Hi Jason VII,

I'm running El Capitan on the iMac as I have legacy software for work.

My impression is that this is 'only' an issue for those of us on El Capitan?
