Why can’t I install Final Cut Pro on MacBook Pro 2017

I got the newest MacBook to edit video. For some reason when I go to Final Cut Pro it says,” Final Cut Pro X can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because macOS version 10.13.2 or later is required.” What does this mean exactly? I have the Mac updated but I won’t let me buy it. This is frustrating since I need the app to edit. Any helpful advic? Thanks!

Go to the App Store and the Updates page. The OS update will probably be st the top of the page.
