How do you get out text messages when we storing your phone from iCloud

Hi I would like to know how I can receive my old text messages off my iCloud back up it uploaded my messages but is missing the whole last 24 hours

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.4

If you restore from a backup, all data created since the backup was made is erased and deleted. There isn't a way to retrieve the data.
