Fast User Switching Menu via command

Hello,

I am looking to script the Login Option for "Fast User Switching Menu via Full Name". I have googled around and some suggested

defaults write /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences MultipleSessionEnabled -bool TRUE

But this doesn't seem to work on Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.5. Has anyone encountered this before?

Thank you

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016, 2 TBT3), macOS High Sierra (10.13.5)

Strange as it works for me every time on multiple systems. Did you run the command exactly as typed and are you sending the command as root? When you run the command can you verify if it has taken with this command:

defaults read /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist | grep MultipleSessionEnabled

Is this on a stock install of macOS or a production workstation currently in use? I ask because I'm wondering if there's anything else (3rd-party perhaps) that may be interfering with the command you've not mentioned or are not aware of? Possibly an MDM profile or stuck MCX setting perhaps? Long shot but are you using Deep Freeze by any chance?
