up arrow takes you to the help menu rather than the row above

The left, right and down arrows work properly but the up arrow key takes you to the help menu instead of the row above in numbers high sierra

have you made a key combination change in your system settings (that, perhaps, you thought were only for another application)?

Have you tried rebooting?

Is there any chance there is a stuck key or button?

I checked all the keyboard shortcuts.... no I have not set any such shortcut BUT..... high sierra must have made one. In the App Shortcuts, under "all applications" a checkmark was in "Show Help menu" as an up arrow. I unchecked that and now it works. Thank you for your suggestions. I would never have thought of that one since I didn't make it. You are amazing. I use Numbers every day so I am in spreadsheets all the time and this was really an annoying problem for me. Thank you again......
