My Gmail folders aren't in the correct order

I added folders in Gmail using macOS Mail. The new folders work, but refuse to be in alphabetical order with the other folders. I've tried everything, with no results. Thanks in advance for your help.

How do I get my gmail.com email folders into alphabetical order I have a macbook Pro running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.1 & use the apple app for my mail, I have several email address which are all gmail.com email address. But I cannot get each email address folder ( I have about 100 folders to each email address) to be in alphabetical order, I have even tried manually moving the folders but they just go back.

Alphabetizing Folders in Mail I've had this issue for ~1 year now. I change folder names or added new folders in Mail, and it just puts the new/newly named folders at the BOTTOM of the list of folders. I use BlueHost webmail (iMap?) and the order of the folders looks fine in the open source webmail program, but not in Apple Mail. I rename the folders so I can have better access; putting it at the bottom of list defeats the purpose. I've researched online before. It seems to be a problem for others. When you create new mailbox in on my Mac section of an IMAP account using a gmail account , they would set up alphabetically by default .

But later you can change their locations randomly ( using drag and drop method ) .
