The latest version is iOS 11.4, future updates are still in Beta testing.
Did already force restart the phone after the update? You will not lose data.
- On an iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 Plus: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
- On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold both the Side and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
- On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Other users report, that changing the Wi-Fi channel on your router back from 5GHz to 2.4GHz can help to improve your battery life.

Same here. Hoped 11.4.1 would help but no dirfferent. Siri is turned off on my phone a grabs 88-90% drain overnight from a full charge. Apple store no help, just restated stats that I can look at on my phone.
I upgraded my IPhone 5S to 11.4.1 a few days ago. If I am not on Wi-Fi & Cellular is turned off, battery life is fine. What I saw just now is typical of my issue: I had 88% battery life indicated on the battery meter with Cellular off & not connected to Wi-Fi. I turned Cellular on & connected to the internet for about a minute then my battery percentage indicator dropped to 30% battery life. I plugged the IPhone into power; turned the phone off & then back on and the battery percentage indicator showed 80% battery power. After unplugging from power the battery percentage indicator stayed at 80%. The other day it dropped from 90% to 10% in a couple of minutes then back to 70% when plugged into power. Although I cannot be sure, it looks as if my actual battery drain is about the same as before installing 11.4.1 but the battery indicator level has gone wonkers.
I had the same problem with my iPhone 5s. I tried everything suggested and every form I could find. I finally ended up buying a new phone, the iPhonev I had the same problem with my iPhone 5s. I tried everything suggested and every form I could find. I finally ended up buying a new phone, the iPhone ate
(As you can see, I am now having a problem with Siri transcribing my dictation twice )
For me, the battery drain happens when the activity wheel is spinning. It keeps spinning even when I close all my apps. The only way to stop it is to restart the phone. I haven’t figured out what causes this.
Did you update to 11.4 first? That's what caused my battery drain. And was hoping that 11.4.1 would fix it. So I'm curious if you skipped it and then got hit.
11.4 to 11.4.1 iPhone X -> Same Problem. Siri is the main power consumer (20% last 24h) and the battery drain is huge
I was on 11.4 (iPhone 7) and I updated 3 days ago and the battery drain is faster. I forced restart and I didn´t see any change. I will back to 11.4....what a mess.
welcome to the team
Same identical problem here with my iPhone 8.
**** I hate it! Have you solved this problem yet? Thanks
I downgrade to iOS 11.4 and the battery works good, such earlier.
