Port Forwarding - still showing closed

Hello Neighbors,

I'm trying to forward port 2095 to my Mac but can't seem to get it to work so I'm looking for guidance

I have a Verizon Fios modem and a MacBook Pro running high Sierra.

MBP is on WIFI, IPv4 Configured with DHCP:

ipv4 192.168.1.151

sub 255.255.255.0

router 192.168.1.1

I've logged onto the modem and set up port forwarding using Both TCP and UDP for port 2095 to my MBP ip

When I go to portchecker.co and check port 2095, it shows closed ~

any tips would be greatly appreciated! I'm obviously a noob to networking

thanks a lot

max

Just a guess since I'm clear what your trying to achieve. Are you running anything on that port to connect to? For example, if you port forward port 80 and you are not running a web server on port 80 there is nothing to connect to on port 80. So unless you are running something on port 2095 there is nothing to connect to.
