Printing blank pages.

I am running Mac OS High Sierra on my iMac and Laptop. My new Canon printer printed test pages fine. When I try to print from Pages Application from iMac, Laptop, or iPhone the printer acts like it is printing but prints out blank pages. If I send the document to Preview it also spits out blank pages. If I copy the document and paste the content into the Notes Application it prints out fine. If I screen shot from Pages on my phone it prints out fine. If I download a file from the internet or open a PDF from Mail it prints out fine. It is just Pages and Preview that will not print. Any ideas, anyone? I have reinstalled the printer numerous times and nothing helps. It seems to me the problem is NOT the printer but with the apps or OS. My previous printer was the same model and brand and it printed these apps fine, but I must admit I hadn't printed out anything from Pages or Preview in months so I cannot say if there has been an OS update that may have caused the old printer to not print from these apps.
