Copying old iMovie DVD with Chapters/Themes
Hello. Many years ago I made several iMovie DVDs that included chapters and themes. When I open them up today, they still work successfully and let me quickly go to a section of the DVD I want to view and also the theme has pictures, music and stuff that work in conjunction with the chapters that look really cool. Each DVD has 12-14 chapters that allow me to jump right to the section of interest.
I no longer have access to the original iMovie projects and only have these DVDs.
Last night, I tried to copy these using the tools Handbrake and DVD Flick as was shown on a "How to Copy a DVD Movie" webpage by Wiki (How to do Anything).
When I copy the movie using Handbrake, it appears to know about my 'chapters' as it lists them without any name to them, but it seems to know about how long they are. When I rip the DVD to my computer desktop and open it up, it appears to not know anything about the chapters or theme as it doesn't appear and plays the entire DVD as one big chapter. I copied that MP4 to another DVD hoping perhaps that might show the chapters, but sadly that didn't work either.
Is there any method to copy the DVD including the iMovie chapters and iMovie theme to a new DVD? These are family movies I made long ago and would love to keep the chapters and theme for ease of use for my other family members.
By the way, I am using the Windows PC side of my Mac (Bootcamp) to do this project. Not sure if booting into the Mac OS side would help or solve anything, but just another piece of information.
Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions.
