Hi,

Probably — just guessing... — by a 10.13.6 update... Already the previous version included "security and stability updates" (you bet), and focused on "an issue that could cause Messages conversations to temporarily be listed out of order." (precisely)

Somebody in Cupertino seems to have decided to clean the Augean stables, and seen the last years we have endured, I'd say that's rather quite good news....

Regards.

Hello,

Not really, actually... (I'm not the author of the "solved" mention 😀). I just "suspect" (much more than this, actually, but I try to be not too much peremptory in the matter...) that the problem you have encountered is macOS-related, not user-related, and that it could be solved by a system update (10.13.6, to date). The very last macOS updates seems — in my opinion — having solved a lot of annoying bugs (including some long-lasting — several years — that I had encountered...), maybe this one is in the lot...

Regards.
