iPod nano (5th generation) not recognized by computer

My iPod nano (5th generation) will charge, but my computer doesn't recognize it being plugged into the USB port. It's running on Windows 10. iTunes doesn't recognize it being plugged in either.

However, if I plug my iPod nano into my daughter's computer, it recognizes it, as does the iTunes on her computer. I cannot sync it on her computer as we don't have the same library (I don't want to lose what's already on my iPod, but want to add some new tunes to the iPod.)
