Garageband change BPM without affecting electronic drum kit

I'm working on a song in GarageBand 10.1.2, and I'm working with a portion of a track of an electronic drum kit. The problem I'm having is that the audio file was recorded in a GarageBand project at 100 BPM, but the actual BPM of the track is 96 BPM making it slightly short of a complete measure. Thus, ideally, I'd like to change my new project's BPM to 96 BPM and have a perfectly aligned track. The problem is that changing the project's BPM affects the track thus leaving it slightly off no matter what I do. I've searched for answers here already but I have no option to disable "Follow pitch and tempo" as it doesn't come up for me with the electronic drum kit.
