Why does logic allow for repeat symbols in the score editor if those symbols don't even seem to trigger a repeat?
Is there way to activate those repeat symbols?

It doesn't work because repeat in Logic is implemented by looping MIDI regions. These signs in Score editor are just visual and do not have any effect on MIDI playback: https://help.apple.com/logicpro/mac/10.4/#/lgcp85357d9e

Repeat symbol's in logic score editor are not triggering a repeat.
