scam email from apple?

So i got an email from “apple” today that said my account was being used and it will be locked permanently if i dont contact them. it asked for my SSN# and i gave it to them. i found out that email was actually a scam. what should i do?? ive been so worried and im loosing my mind.

Scam I received an email from "apple" to my alternate address stating that my account had been locked due to suspicious activity. They addressed me as "Dear" and my back-up email address. I started to go through the unlock process but stopped when they asked for my SSN, assuming that this was a scam. Looked legit until that point. What will the real apple's notification look like?

Is this email a scam? Hi , I have got an email from Apple but they are asking for my address and social security number , I am wonder if it is my actual apple account or a scam? they are saying my account is locked ? [Re-Titled by Moderator]
