I am having trouble getting my HomePod to work with my philips hue lights. From my phone I got it to work and I can ask Siri to turn them on or off. But when i ask HomePod Siri she keeps telling me she can’t find it, cannot do that, etc. Very annoying, is there anyone out there who can help me with this??

Are both the HomePod / lights / bridge showing up within the same room within the home app
I use Phillipa Hue light with the HomePod and has had no issue with useing them at all since day one. Hopefully these may help or else you may sadly have to wait till Phillipa can work out what’s the issue and if it’s somthig on there end or apples to maybe hopefully fix the issue but my self and friends I know have not had this issue.
UPDATE:
I found a friend of a friend who has the same issue she, reinstalled the Hue app added the lights (made sure lights, bridge and HomePod was added to the same scene) and then it worked fine, might work for others.
I feel your pain, I have just come to realize I cannot rely on the HomePod for the lighting at this time. This is why I have echoes second generation in every room as well they work flawlessly never had a problem so I use that for my “smart speaker audio thing such as news updates etc. and controlling my home and just enjoy the quality of the speaker of the HomePod for now hopefully Apple will release future software updates to open up the potential of this great speaker
I've got Hue lights in my living room, kitchen and bedroom.
HomePods are in bedroom.
Turn lights on/off works fine.
Good night/Good morning - only couple of lights will switch on/off regardless of location Siri saying some accessories didn't respond. Have reported this to Apple as it worked fine with Alexa.
Same issues here ultimately I ended up returning it. $350 plus tax for a speaker only to listen to mainly Apple Music??
Don’t get me wrong, I love Apple. I have two Apple TV 4’s , an iPhone X Apple iPad and Mac computer.
I was really looking forward to the speaker and I knew it had a few shortcomings, but to not do what it supposed to do out of the box??
I have three Alexa echo throughout the home and they worked flawlessly always connect to make your system never an issue.
I guess this is what they mean by never buy a first generation of a product.
Me too! I t seems, the onset of my problem corresponded to the update to iOS 12.0. I simply cannot sync the HomePod and Hue bridge systems together. Prior to the iOS update, I did not have this issue.
More than once. Even installed everything before installing the HomePod. The lights work alright with Siri on my phone. They are in the home app. Only the HomePod Siri does not know what to do...
Just FYI, Hue is working fine on my HomePods.

Its very annoying. I had the Alexa set up too which worked perfectly but homepod just does not.
HomePod was working with Philips Hue, then for about a week there were issues, then fixed again. I use it all the time, so it was a rough week. The Eve/Elgato products are so much more reliable.
me too. someone says that could be just an hue issue. Personally I actually don’t think so

Nobody says you are but you are talking about several different systems/companies working together. I said what my configuration is, is yours the same?
I see your point, I just hope the future software updates will bring it up on par with the quality we’ve come to expect from Apple
How did you get Siri on the HomePod to recognize the Hue lights?
