safari ios will not load new page with reload button

ios 11.4

Safari won't load new page on refresh. New page is available on the server as seen using another pc.

Added ?nocache=1 to url did not help

clear cache works once but then I keep getting this new page until I clear cache again

I see this with a static html pages and on woot.com.

For the woot.com issue, I can get a new page if I click on the top link (woot) but if I just refresh the tab I still get the old page.

Similar to a post in January.

Try double clicking the Home button and swipe Safari upwards. Go to Settings/Safari and clear History and Website Data. Open Safari and test.

You are welcome. Two things to try, but I'm not confident they will help.

Try a restart.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Try a forced restart.

Thanks for the reply,

I have closed the app and cleared all the web data. this helps once but as soon as the page changes it does not get the new changes. I have cleared the data for the one site (so I don’t loose all my open tabs etc) and that works as well but only until the page changes fhen it is stuck again on the most recent cached page.

Some further debug reveals the text part of the page is getting refreshed but the graphs (png files) are not.

Still points to a broken reload button. The reload button should reload all the page.

This simple page gets updated every hour with new stats and graphs.

Forced reset had no effect. It seems they have broken the reload button.
