Will there be support for RAW images taken by the Nikon D850? Typically RAW support has been good when it comes to Apple, but it's slipped of late.
MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12.1), Photos v2.0 (451.20.9)
Although you posted in the High Sierra community your profile reads you have Sierra and Photos 2. The Nikon D850 is only supported in High Sierra so you would need to upgrade. If you are on High Sierra the Nikon D850 RAW files are supported so you can use it in Preview, Photos and the Finder will show them too, but if you are still using iPhoto then it will not.
Processing the RAW images in Adobes DNG converter (free) and importing the resulting .dng files will allow you to view them in iPhoto and Aperture if you have that. Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh : Adobe DNG Converter 10.4

In iPhoto? Never. There have been no raw updates for iPhoto or Aperture in several years, as both apps are discontinued.
The Nikon D850 is supported in Photos, the app that replaced both, and comes free with High Sierra.
Sorry, I meant Photos. I am running High Sierra now. I will have to try again re: uploading RAW to Photos. Thanks.
Full D850 support did not arrive until mid-December 2017 — after 10.13.4 was released, and possibly following the very next Security update that month.
