local internet radio stream stopped working

For some reason, the local NPR station stream does not work when I ask Siri to play it. Not does that station play in iTunes on Desktop, when accessed from the "radio/recently played" section of iTunes. The stream DOES work if I navigate to the the station's listing (WPLN-FM Nashville) under "Internet Radio." This lets me use the HomePod as essentially as a remote Airplay speaker. This is lame, to not be able to simply ask Siri to play the station on the HomePod without going into iTunes desktop. I used to just say, "Siri, play Radio WPLN," but now I get "streaming silence."

Anyone else having trouble streaming local terrestrial radio on HomePod? This is stupid, that I can't use a $350 streaming speaker to do something simple as pick up an existing radio stream. ***.
