iTunes does not show the Summary option when iPhone is plugged in.
I want to back up the iPhone but I don't see where I can do that.

You’re quite welcome.
Click on that little phone icon next to word Music in that drop down menu at the upper left part of the window. Select your phone from that icon. After that, you should see the Summary page.
