Stop asking me if I want to change my default web browser

Hi,

Here is my issue. Safari is my default web browser and that is fine. However there are some situations where I prefer to use Chrome or Firefox. Everytime single time I open a browser that is not Safari, I am asked if I want to change my default browser. Where do I go to turn the asking of this question off?

I am guessing that this OS (10.13.5) assumes that no one has a use for more than one browser, but I do and I can think of several situations where having and using more than one browser is a natural thing to do. There must be a way to turn off the asking of this question every single time a non-default browser is opened.

I have seen this question How do I stop Safari from asking: "do you want to change your default web browser to safari", but no solution was found. I do not have Parallels installed.

Many Thanks

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.5)

Hi Terence, I appreciate the response and the suggestion, but you are wrong on this. I should have included an image of the pop-up as part of my question to avoid confusion. Apologies. The notification that pops up is not browser specific, and in fact has the OS Preferences icon on it rather than the generic question mark icon. Attached is an image of the pop-up.

The only difference between the pop-up if I start Firefox or Chrome is the word 'Chrome'/'Firefox' in the text and on the button. This is not a notification created by those browsers.

If I set any of Safari, Firefox or Chrome to my default browser in System Preferences > General, and then choose to open a different non-default browser, then the pop-up is identical (apart from the browser names). More importantly, there is no obvious check box that you can click/unclick to prevent the pop-up appearing in future.

Many Thanks
