Messages on watch

Why is it that when I erase text messages from my iPhone, they do not erase from my Apple Watch? I have the settings to mirror my iPhone.

Apple Watch Messages Hello! I am trying to figure out how to mirror the text messages on my iphone and apple watch. When I delete a message off of my phone it does not delete it off of my watch. Is there a way to sync my phone and watch so that when I delete a text message off of my phone, my watch will reflect that so I don't have to delete it in two different locations manually? Thanks!

Notifications and audible alerts mirror your iPhone. Full synchronisation for message deletion is not yet implemented for Apple Watch. It was added in iOS 11.4 for other devices, but we are still waiting for it to merge into WatchOS.
