Taylor Swift reputation won't download to Apple Music

I purchased Taylor Swift's limited edition reputation (CD + Magazine Vol 1 and Vol 2) from Target back in November of 2017. Along with the purchase came a free digital copy of the CD on Apple Music. I recently got a new iPhone 6 because my other one just stopping charging, and switched my SIMs card and backed up my phone. I did have an Apple Music subscription previously and I still do. I'm trying to redownload all my music from my subscription. However, Taylor Swift's reputation will not download. A statement saying, "Item Has Not Been Purchased - Song cannot be downloaded because it was not purchased with your Apple ID." How do I redownload the album since 1) I did purchase the album during the November deal between Apple and Swift and 2) I have Apple Music and the album is available for streaming anyway.

Re-download and stream are 2 different things.

If you want to stream it, use Apple Music.

If you want to re-download your previously purchased tracks, do this:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519

Either way, you will be able to listen.

I’ve attempted to stream it, and Apple Music will not allow it. And I cannot redownload my purchase because it wasn’t a purchase through iTunes, it was organized under a contract with Apple where you buy the magazine, it gives you a verification code which you enter on iTunes and it downloads the album.

I am aware that will an Apple Music subscription I can stream the album without a prior purchase. However, I already bought the album back in November before it was released for streaming. Now since, I restored onto a new phone and I’m attempting to redownload/stream the song, an apple error pops up that will not allow it. I know I can stream it, Apple just won’t let me.

Kayly,

In my experience, the codes that let you download free songs will put the songs into Purchased status, and they can still be re-downloaded. Your magazine code may have been different.
