My Mac updated and now I lost my old audio driver. Now I have, "USB AUDIO CODEC (DEMO)." My playback on logic has a beep every 30-40 seconds. How do i get rid of the demo driver and put a permanent driver in?
I'd start with downloading and reinstalling the driver. What audio interface do you use? Please, provide model and make. Also, what do you mean by "My Mac updated"? Did you upgrade macOS? If so, from which to which version.
Looks like your Mackie mixer is using some sort of a generic audio codec as a driver. What you can do is, close all applications, power off the mixer, and unplug its USB cable. Restart your Mac, after that plug Mackie back in and switch power on.
Also, after doing all that, could you open the Audio MIDI Setup utility (browse to Applications/Utilities or press Shift+Command+U while in Finder) and make a screenshot of Audio Devices window? It looks like this (depending on the devices you use, your might look different):
It could be that the driver that you used/needed before is no longer necessary. If the device is Core Compliant you would remove the old driver. Restart the computer, check again.
Nowhere does Mackie mention needing USB drivers for a Macintosh for the mixer.
I reloaded the operating system. Got rid of some old compressed drivers. Restart/ I got the correct drivers back! That computer seems a little faster. Hope it last.
The Mac did a auto update. Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 is running now. v.5 was before this incident and running smooth. I'm using a Mackie Pro-fx 16 channel USB mixer. In Logic Pro X, Go preferences/audio and my regular audio driver is not there. The missing driver is labeled, "USB AUDIO CODEC". Now it says, "USB AUDIO CODEC (DEMO). When I record or playback Logic, there is a audio beep every 30 to45 seconds. I cannot find a audio driver for logic. I tried asio4all but it doesn't seem to load. No way to roll back the computer to a earlier date without time machine.

I have the same problem as you. I am thinking about updating my OS X EL Capitan to High Sierra. You think that would do the same Job as reversing the current system?
