Stand ring stagnant on Activity Apps

I've this 3 rings going and now noticed that the stand ring is always stagnant whatever and however long I stand. I replaced the watch once as my first watch showed very much of the stand ring but the later ones have like stopped. This is applicable to both my stainless steel version. Is defect only seen in this version only? I don't wish to have another watch replaced if this is inherent. Does anyone has this and how is it resolved or at all?
