Opening .msi files

I am Pieter. Recently I bought an iMAC. I tried to install Paintshop Pro from a Windows CD. Now I get a .msi file that cannot be opened. What is wrong?

What is wrong is you are trying to install a Windows program (.msi) onto a Mac. If you want to install a Windows program you will first have to install Windows using Boot Camp Assistant or using a virtual machine like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox. Or, the best option would be to install and use Mac apps rather than Windows programs.
