itunes won't determine tracks to sync

Hi, for some reason iTunes has stopped "determining tracks to sync" when I attempt to sync new music content from my (Windows 10) iTunes library on my PC to my iPod device. It just goes straight to "waiting for changes to be applied". So none of my new tracks are being synced across from my PC to my iPod device. Have happily synced thousands of tracks on to my iPod in the recent past. There is sufficient memory on my device to accommodate the new tracks. The tracks have all been purchased from the iTunes Store, so there shouldn't be any formatting or copyright issues. I have the latest iTunes software and the latest iPod software. Grateful for any help to remedy this!

Hello Aljie013,

Welcome and thanks for reaching out via Apple Support Communities. From what I understand, iTunes stalls when you attempt to sync your iPod Touch with your PC. It sounds like your computer may be having a hard time recognizing your device. Have you tested this using a different Lightning cable or USB port? You can learn about other troubleshooting tips to help get this resolved using the steps found in the articles below.

You also mentioned that these tracks were all purchased from the iTunes Store. Have you tried to download them directly to your device?

Let me know if this helps.

Cheers!

Sorry to hear you've had this problem following the iOS download. I had a similar issue a few months back with greyed-out tracks in my iTunes library. In my case, it turned out that iTunes was rejecting certain tracks that I had downloaded from a (non-Apple) music website. Only way I could listen to those tracks on the go was to download them on to an Android device.... Sigh.....
